Originally from the UK (by way of Australia…long story), Adam Burke has been performing comedy in Chicago and throughout the U.S. for almost ten years. He’s a fixture on showcases and clubs throughout the Midwest and beyond. He is a regular panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, and has appeared on the podcasts Doug Loves Movies and The Benson Interruption, the Bob and Tom show, WGN 720 AM radio, Put Your Hands Together, and many more podcasts and shows. Voted Best Standup by readers of The Chicago Reader in 2014, he was also the winner of Second City’s Up Next Comedy Competition. He appeared at numerous festivals including Bridgetown Comedy Portland OR, Just for Laughs Chicago (four years running), and the local stage of Funny Or Die’s Oddball Comedy Festival. In addition, he has opened for a wide variety of comedians including Marc Maron, Jeff Ross, Hannibal Burress, John Mulaney, Hari Kondabolu, Maria Bamford, Michael Ian Black, Kumail Nanjiani, John Oliver, Tracy Morgan, Aziz Ansari, and many more. Burke released his debut album Universal Squirrel Theory on A Special Thing Records in 2012.
Sarah Perry is a chicago-based comedian/writer whose fearless delivery and subject matter is highly relatable and resoundingly funny. Sarah graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2015 with a degree in Comedy Writing and Performance and has also completed The Comedy Studies program and The Conservatory at The Second City, as well as the improv program at iO Theatre. She has produced multiple successful shows in Chicago including the Laugh Factory’s Drink Date Laugh on Fridays and her very own creation: Boy/Girl Sleepover. Sarah has also recently lent her writing and acting chops to WGN’s Man Of The People, a late night show hosted by Pat Tomasulo. She has opened up for Chris Redd (SNL, Popstar), Colin Kane (The Wedding Ringer), Jeremy Piven (Entourage) and Esther Povitsky (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend).
Aaron Putnam got his start in comedy while taking classes at UCB NY. He is also a graduate of David Mamet Atlantic Theatre Company’s two year program. He found out quickly that the only drama he likes is his own, so he quit doing plays and auditioning and dove fully into improv. This is where he learned his most important lesson to this day, and that is: to BOMB! NIGHT AFTER NIGHT! Being the real ass dude he is, he thought it was rude to take all those innocent improvisers with him, so he started doing open mic stand up all over NYC. That was 2011 — flash forward to today: Aaron Putnam is a Chicago-based comic and the founder of Stand Up in Recovery where comics put on shows at recovery centers across the country. He has opened for Doug Stanhope, Erik Griffin, Robert Kelly, and many more. At this point you might be saying “I wanna know about the DRAMA, the RECOVERY, etc.” The truth is on paper and it’s downright scary, but when told on stage, through a mic — hilarious.
